The instrument employs reverse hybridization for virus sub-type analysis. Specimens are added into the slot; the instrument auto-processes reagents, extracts DNA, and amplifies PCR via Chip micro-pumps. Amplified products undergo reverse hybridization with virus probes. If target genes are present, they are captured by Chip probes, revealing spots post enzyme reaction. Negative specimens show no spots at virus probe positions.

GenPlex® BHF-VI Nucleic Acid Chip Analyzer includes a host and optional printer. The host features an image display system, reagent system, gas path system, temperature control, image detection, and 3-d mobile platform.
Sample Type: exfoliated cervical epithelial cells
The HPV Genotyping (24/28 Types) Kit offers a panel for detecting 24/28 HPV genotypes. Detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and resistance genes is also in the test menu.
The Genplex BHF-VI System unites preparation, amplification, detection, and analysis in one. It needs 5 minutes of hands-on time and a total run time of about 3.5 hours with 1–24 sample throughput.
