The device uses reverse hybridization for virus sub-type analysis. Specimens are added into the slot; it auto-processes reagents, extracts DNA, and amplifies PCR via Chip micro-pumps. Amplified products undergo reverse hybridization with virus probes. If target genes exist, they are captured by Chip probes, showing spots post-enzyme reaction. Negative specimens have no spots at virus probe sites.

The Nucleic Acid Chip Analyzer comes with a host and optional printer. The host includes an image display system, reagent system, gas path system, temperature control, image detection, and 3-d mobile platform.
